I’ve avoided this Disney Theme Park Ride flick for so long, but now that I’ve decided to check it out, it is an interesting experience to say the least! Like other celebrated rock-and-roll groups, the members of the legendary group the Country Bears were torn apart by the perils of their own success: ego, jealousy, and a little too much honey. The story of how eager young fan Beary Barrington can convince the bitter ex-members of the rock band to put aside their differences and perform a benefit concert to save Country Bear Hall, the legendary venue where the band got its start. This movie is filled with so many musical celebrities that they are too many to name, most of which can be humorous. The country music in the movie can be catchy at times even if they are being played by sometimes creepy animatronic bear suits used in the film that were created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Also Christopher Walken delivers an over the top performance here that he takes very seriously interacting with bears, which does earn him a Razzie nomination though. Case in point, the movie is downright silly, but I can’t but help find effort in it!
