FW MOVIE PICK: TEEN TITANS: TROUBLE IN TOKYO

Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo (2006)

Even though the “Teen Titans” was sadly cancelled by Cartoon Network; this made for TV animated film more then filled the empty void left by its legion of fans! After a battle with a high-tech villain named, Saiko-Tek, the Teen Titans travel to the city of Tokyo where they find themselves embroiled in a conflict with an ancient enemy. This movies delivers on the fun, excitement, humor and mature themes we’d come to expect from the show. And while the movie doesn’t address the important plot points from the show (especially the Terra story line); it does at least give us closure on the most important story arc on the show: Robin and Starfire’s relationship. Robin and Starfire finally share their kiss, which always gets to me on an emotional level. And I say that’s a wrap. However, in a mid-credits scene from “Teen “Titans Go! to the Movies”, the Teen Titans from the 2003-2006 series show up on a distorted screen telling the viewers that they “found a way back. So I’m happy to say we haven’t seen the last of our teenage crimefighters!
