Wayne Allwine, Tony Anselmo, Bill Farmer, Linda Harmon, Tress MacNeille, Russi Taylor, and April Winchell in Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers (2004)

All for one and one for all and Mickey, Donald and Goofy will please them all! Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy are lowly French peasants who dream of greatness as members of the musketeers. Though they are rejected by that elite unit, conniving Pete hires them to “protect” Princess Minnie Mouse, believing their incompetence will make it easier for him to usurp the throne. Naturally, Minnie is instantly smitten with Mickey. And though the trio is a bit overzealous at first, they work together to uncover and foil Pete’s nefarious plot. I still haven’t seen other adaptations, but I still got invested thanks to the charm of this trio. After all the misadventures they’ve had in many shorts, it was only a matter of time that they’d get their own movie and being paired with their sweethearts (Mickey and the Beanstalk doesn’t count cause its part of a package film). The movie is also the last time we see all these characters together in this animation style (then they go into the CGI and Retro route in other adaptations)!
