Julie Kavner, Nathan Lane, and Jerry Stiller in The Lion King 1½ (2004)

Arguably the most memorable installment in “The Lion King” Trilogy thanks to its parody of “Mystery Science Theater 3000”! This retelling of “The Lion King” is conveyed from the perspective of meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa and shows how the pair became friends. When Timon leaves his colony because he doesn’t fit in, he meets the lonely Pumbaa. Together Timon and Pumbaa search for a new home, having adventures along the way and eventually meeting up with lion prince Simba, who is in exile from his home and must challenge the evil Scar for the title of Lion King. Arguably worthy to the original thanks to our favorite Disney Sidekicks Timon and Pumba story of how they first met and hilariously navigate their way though the movie. As well as the consequences of their actions!
