I’ve always wanted to see a “Justice League” movie almost as much as an “Avengers” movie; but considering the bad streak the DCMU has been getting lately; its hard to feel anticipation! Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, and J. K. Simmons. While an improvement over lesser efforts in terms of action scenes and characters (mainly Wonder Woman (even though her purpose is complaining about Steve Trevor) and The Flash (who is being Peter Parker)). Aquaman is an outrageous dude, Cyborg is just there and Batman is well Batman. They still can’t shake its inconsistent plot and humor or even well defined characters. In short I’d consider this movie a guilty pleasure, even with the distracting CGI jaw of Superman (they at least get his upbeat personality right this time). Steppenwolf is a lame DCEU villain that’s about as generic as they come and belongs in a video game. A fair recommendation for DC Fans!
