Every hero needs a nasty villain! In almost all sorts of media, the bad guy is usually more entertaining than the good guy, and the same goes for Nickelodeon. From the goofy to hot-tempered to well evil. For this list I’m counting down my favorite Nicktoon Villains. And as you would expect, obvious spoilers to be wary of.

10. Roger-“Nickelodeon’s Doug”

Here he is Nickelodeon’s first ever bully. Roger is Doug’s archrival and the town’s local school bully. He is not much of a school bully, he usually makes fun of everyone, he is more of a friend than a bully. So it goes without saying why he is the lowest on my list, but still you can’t help but want to slap the guy, plus there’s that laugh of his!

9. Angelica-“Rugrats & All Grown Up”

In the show’s longest history, I always had to deal with the one Rugrat Character you love to hate! Angelica is Tommy and Dil’s 3-year-old cousin and daughter of Drew and Charlotte Pickles. She is very spoiled by her mom and father and mean to the babies, but will occasionally do something nice for them. She can either be entertaining or irritable or even funny, which is why she’s one of the best characters in the series!

8. Vexus-“My Life As a Teenage Robot”

When you have a famous late actress voicing a character like this, you always in for a treat! A cunning and cruel robot queen, Vexus is bent on the enslavement of the human race. It is always fun to see Jenny clashing with one of the more popular villains on the show, and it is a shame we didn’t get to see more of here!

7. Professor Calamitous-“The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius”

While it would have been tempting to choose a certain Yolkian, but when it comes to intellect, Jimmy has met his match! Calamitous is tiny, near-sighted, eccentric, old genius, who is one of the most brilliant evil minds on the planet, and he would be more dangerous if he didn’t have the bad habit of never finishing what he starts. Calamitous is determined to get Jimmy to finish his projects for him because he cannot finish them himself. With another popular celebrity voice and humor to boot, there’s no doubting to memorability of this villain!

6. Fire Lord Ozai-“Avatar: The Last Airbender”

Since watching the series, there was always that long-awaited build-up for one of the greatest fights in Nick History, especially with a famous voice (known for a Jedi and Clown Prince of Crime)! He is ruler of the Fire Nation, is the father of Zuko and Azula, younger brother of Iroh, and the supreme antagonist of the series. Ozai is depicted as a cruel and merciless leader, and is described as “the worst father in the history of fathers” by his son Zuko, of whom he reportedly thought banishment too light a punishment. He favors Azula over Zuko, because he sees her as a firebending prodigy and sees his own beliefs embodied in her. Even after his defeat with Aang I was glad to get more insight on this despicable character in the Graphic Novel Series!

5. Vlad Masters/Vlad Plasmius-“Danny Phantom”

I know what you’re thinking,  there are other more popular ghosts in the series I can choose from, but come on, it had to be the biggest bad! He is Danny’s arch-rival throughout the series. Vlad had attended college with Jack and Maddie until Jack’s prototype Ghost Portal beamed ecto-acne into Vlad’s face, giving Vlad ghost powers and ruining his social life. Half-ghost for 20 years, Vlad has much more experience with his ghost powers than Danny. Vlad serves as the main antagonist throughout the entire series as he always tries to steal Maddie away from Jack and to persuade Danny to join his side and destroy his friends. With his ultimate fate uncertain, this fun characters legacy shall live on and (hopefully get that possible revival to see more of  his menace)!

4. Denzel Crocker-The Fairly OddParents”

Crazy doesn’t come anywhere close to one of the most hilarious characters in the whole series! He is a gray skinned, hunchbacked man and Timmy’s fairy-obsessed teacher. He correctly suspects that Timmy has fairy godparents of his own, and he is often able to tell what Timmy has wished for by the smallest, most irrelevant clues. His unshakable belief in fairy godparents leads to other adults perceiving him as mentally ill. Although once again the state of the show now, lend to giving him a little too much attention, but still remains one of my faves!

3. Vicky-“The Fairly OddParents”

It may seem like cheating to have two Fairly OddParents on this, but still both are standouts in their own right but Vicky clearly takes the cake! She is Timmy’s mean, tyrannical, selfish, evil and greedy babysitter. She has few friends and enjoys torturing children, watching television and making the world miserable, especially for Timmy. If it wasn’t for Vicky, Timmy wouldn’t have Cosmo and Wanda, so we can give her credit for that!

2. Plankton-“SpongeBob SquarePants

All of the characters with the show’s long history on the air are memorable in their own right, even this tiny funny villain of the animated series. He is a plankton who owns the Chum Bucket, the rival restaurant to the Krusty Krab. As the self-proclaimed archenemy to Mr. Krabs, he constantly tries to steal Krabs’ secret recipe for Krabby Patties (except in The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water), but is always unsuccessful (except, temporarily, in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie). Sometimes, not only does he wish to run Mr. Krabs out of business, but he also wishes to rule the world. His wife is Karen, a computer of his creation. Though he is considered the main antagonist of the series, he has been portrayed as a protagonist or anti-hero on several occasions. However throughout the course of the series, I somewhat cared more for him as Mr. Krabs became more of an antagonist than him, and lets not forget that certain whale episode (Ugh!)!

Honorable Mentions:

King Goobot-“The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius”
Miranda-“As Told By Ginger”
The Greasers-“CatDog”

1. Zim-“Invader Zim”

I couldn’t resist, I had to go with the Nick Villain that made the most impact on me and deserves more attention than he did (thanks very much cancellation!). He is an incompetent Irken invader, who is foul-tempered, overzealous, impulsive, megalomaniac and convinced of his own greatness. He dreams of regaining his leaders’ trust by taking part in Operation Impending Doom II, so Zim is assigned to Earth, a planet which the Almighty Tallest believe has little to no chance of existing. However, against all odds, Zim makes it to Earth and establishes a base on a fake conquest mission. Because of his very small stature, Zim disguises himself as a human child using a hairpiece to cover his antennae and contact lenses to make his eyes look normal. Being the only villain on this list who is also the main character, he is always a laugh out loud riot and you can’t help but root for the little guy!
